Single hopped home gown fuggles but with a difference. A rhizome from the prolific Fuggle hop that grows at the Hophead brewery was sent 300 miles north and grown by Rosemary at the Old School on the solway coast – about as far north as you can go in England on the west coast. The hops were picked, dried and packed and sent in the post to the brewery. Here they were combined 50/50 with hops from the brewery’s fuggle. Pale Maris Otter malt and munich malt combine to give a hint of malt and the 3 hop additions give a good english bitterness and restrained hoppyness. A very sessionable beer but watch out its 4.8%.
